2-legged Team
Nevise Borg Caligari is the producer and presenter of Pink Panther. She’s married to Pierre Borg and at home they live along with their 10 cats whom they love and treasure. Nevise’s dream came true with the Pink Panther program. It was a stored dream that was finally came true.
Since the age of 1yr, Nevise always lived with a pet at home and her love for animals was always well known with everyone! It was Pierre who gave her her first white cat which she had for 12yrs. As they say, “cats are like chocolates, it’s hard to just have one”! So it is! When she got married and had her own home, the family started to grow!
She took Bianco her first cat with her and then came along Daisy, a black female cat saved from the streets, then Smoky a grey female cat also saved from the street, then Jinxie, a siamese, Fifi, Timmy who is the most playful cat in the house & Gigi, the shy ginger cat! Marley, Marley was born by a female cat who walked into ONE Complex and gave birth to 4 kittens, then there’s Muffin, Floyd, & Magic the cat who joins Nevise in all the pink panther programs, he’s a ragdoll!
Nevise & Pierre organised 4 charity rides & the biggest dog walk ever, in aid of abandoned animals. The sums collected started from €2300, to €7000, to €13,500 to the final sum of €23,000. All this money was given to sanctuaries and feeders in the form of vouchers, redeemable for food and medicine for abandoned animals.
Nevise is the producer and presenter of Pink Panther.

Pierre is the man behind Nevise and the idea of Pink Panther. He helped Nevise to make her dream come true and guide her along the way on tv production and presenting. It all started when they organised the first charity ride in aid of abandoned animals in January 2008, and after visiting various sanctuaries they realised how important it is to educate the people on their responsibility towards animals! And in October 2009, Pink Panther started on ONE.
One day, on their way to work, Nevise & Pierre were discussing what name to give to this new tv program and it was Pierre who came up with the name of Pink Panther, knowing that it was Nevise’s favourite cartoon and favourite colour!
Pierre is an integral part of the production team of Pink Panther.

Koren Scicluna – As a young girl I was afraid of dogs in general but I loved the ones I knew. There was never a dog in our home because my father was always aware of dog smells, so all my brother’s efforts to bring a dog at home were always futile. When I had my own home, I wanted to get a dog but I was also afraid that I would have doggy hairs or doggy smell all over the place so I always fought against my own wish to have a dog….and then Mose’ came along and he totally rocked my world! From then onwards I started looking at strays in a different way. Before Mose’ I used to pity them and stop there I never considered adopting a stray, I always thought that if I decided to get a dog it would be a yorkie or a westie. But now I see a Mose’ in every stray dog I meet and I can never buy a dog when I know that I can save another one.
Mose’ had and still has this expression in his eyes as if he knows what I did for him and in return he wants to be a good boy for me. After we scrubbed him clean, I wanted to buy him nice things, to pamper him as if to show the world that this dog is not a stray anymore, that he is part of a family, but I couldn’t find anything nice. Just a plain black collars and leads. I remember putting different bandanas that were mine on him everyday and buying children’s clothes and taking them to the seamstress to alter them. I remember about 6 weeks after we adopted him, we went on holiday and I found a pet shop that stocked some clothes for dogs, I called my mum to measure him and I bought all the clothes they had that fitted him. I remember the shopkeeper was laughing at me and said he had never seen someone like me.
And from then on, Mose’ was always wearing clothes, they gave him a posh look turning him from a street dog to a glamorous dog and it made me realize that all dogs can look cute if they are clean and nicely dressed even mongrels and mixed breeds and maybe if people enjoyed shopping for luxurious stuff for dogs, they will consider adopting more strays and have some fun turning them into pampered pets. That was the start of the pet fashion and luxuries for Maltese dogs and cats, it started by clothes but now we have moved to anything that one can possibly imagine to pamper his pet.

Petra & Mauro have known each other for 10 years, been married for the last 3 years. Whilst Petra has always had a number of pets in her childhood home, Mauro has never been around animals in the house. Nonetheless it was Mauro’s idea to surprise Petra with a Persian kitten a few months into the marriage and the furry family kept growing since then.
Today Petra & Mauro enjoy family life together with 7 cats: Sophie, Toby, Louie, Bo, Glamour, Grace and Sky, not to forget the ragdoll kittens between one litter and the next. They have introduced the first ragdolls for a breeding programme to Malta in February 2009 and this was the start of Fishbone Ragdolls.
Thanks to Malta Cat Club and Pink Panther, Petra met Nevise during the summer of 2009 purposely for an interview recording for the programme, talking about the ragdoll characteristics. Nevise had heard and read a lot about the ragdoll breed, but after this encounter with Mr. Bojangles, it was love at first sight. Since then Fishbone Radolls were invited as resident pets on Pink Panther due to their docile nature and friendly personalities and Petra & Mauro have followed along. It was their first experience on a television set and both found it very exciting.
Today Petra & Mauro are proud to be part of the Pink Panther production team.

His participation on this programme has attracted loads of interest by dog lovers both in Malta and Gozo. Hi!, I’m Giulia, I’m eleven years old and about to start Secondary School. My schedule i rather busy……I do ballet, I play basketball and I’m an altair girl in my Parishchurch. Apart from all this I help my Auntie Nevise in Pink Panther. This is all very exciting for me and I am so happy I’ve been given the opportunity to do the two things I enjoy most doing - presenting and talking about animals. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always had a passion for animals and I am the proud owner of three cats called Maya, Mitch and Mo. Right now I am working on convincing my parents to adopt a Huskie but I think it will take a while before my dream comes true!
However I just have some fresh news off the press to share with you……..I know that I had been praying for a dog but we found a ginger kitten roaming around in our garden. He seemed to have come from nowhere and belonged to no-one. My parents were determined not to keep him but my persuasion and the kitten’s sweet character made them change their mind. We named him Mittens and I am so happy that he is now part of my family!
This year I shall be presenting a new corner called Pet Filmstars. Don’t miss it!…..I’m sure you will enjoy seeing it just as much as I enjoyed filming it!

My name is Christian Caligari and I’m 11 years old. I’m from Mosta and attend San Anton School, where my favourite subjects are Mathematics and Science.
I have 2 adorable cats. Spidey which was a stray cat, was found four years ago in a tyre of car, whilst Remsis which is a kitten of 1 year is a Siamese. I collect models of aeroplanes, playing electric guitar and attend drama school. Last year I had a great experience where I was chosen to be part of an advert which was shown on an Italian channel and again this year, I had another opportunity to be part of an Italian film which is coming out next year, 2011.
April of last year, the Pink Panther Production Team had shown their interest in me to be part of this fantastic programme. A year passed, I had fun and I’m looking forward for another schedule with different ideas.

Jameson joined the Pink Panther team during the second half of the first season. Combining his love and fascination for animals together with his editing work, he continued to work on the already successful program and also brought in his ideas to the show. One of those would be the direction of the promo for the new season of Pink Panther. Through collaboration with the whole team, Jadis, Caspian and their owner, Bernard, the promo was realized successfully and Jameson can’t wait to start editing on the new season of Pink Panther.

Hi, I am Aveline I am a professionally qualified dog and cat groomer. I have graduated from an accredited grooming school in the UK in 2006. Whilst in the UK I have had the opportunity to work with a number of breeds, specialising mainly in terriers. Back in Malta, I opened my grooming salon in Marsascala and since then I have worked with a variety of cats and dogs, some of which are also show pets.
Being a teacher by professions, I am currently splitting my time between teaching and grooming at ‘Bad to the Bone’. Grooming allows me to explore the creative aspect of my personality. Nothing gives me more pleasure then seeing a beloved pet nicely styled and groomed leaving my salon with a happy owner.
I also try to dedicate quality time for my dog Deco, and my two cats Maximus and Nuvola. All three used to run the streets but I have been lucky enough to cross their paths and invite them in my home. Now they are an indispensable part of my family. They are brothers and sister to my two year old daughter Mia and beloved children to my husband and myself.

Bernard, 30, and Denise, 26, try to spend as much time as possible with their dogs Jadis, Caspian and Keira. But not only, there are cats and birds around them too! Yes, Keira goes especially well with Midas, a ginger cat. Jadis was the first border collie in the ‘pack’, and Bernard designed a special agility course to train her, because she so sharp and intelligent (Jadis even scored a perfect 30/30 on Coren’s Intelligence Test). Next to join the pack was handsome Prince Caspian who is also a border collie, from the beautiful Angus Glens in Scotland. Bernard and Denise love to travel around, especially in the U.K., where they have also attended several dog shows, including CRUFTS. And so far, last to join the pack is the powerful but gentle Keira, who was adopted from the Animal Welfare Department. With such a love affair with dogs, Bernard and Denise have decided to study more about dog behaviour and psychology, because quite simply they want to live in a healthy and balanced lifestyle with dogs, and help as many canine friends and owners as possible. By profession, Bernard in an economist and Denise is a biochemist and they both share a common love for animals. They were introduced to Pink Panther at a local dog show where Jadis stole Nevise’s heart with her antics (Nevise still has a major soft spot for Jadis!!)

Having started training my personal dog some 15 years ago I always had a passion and love for dogs and training. What at first started as a small hobby soon turned out to be a great passion, I started studying about dogs, training techniques and dogs mind. Have founded the Maltese Rottweiler Club and The Malta Dog Training Services.
Furthered my studies with a Scottish institution and graduated as a dog Behaviour Consultant which offers me the possibility to help to rehabilitate problematic dogs. I also trained with a professional Belgian sport dog trainer and am offering various group training (PET scheme), personal training, sport training etc. Most important thing is to mention that all my methods are based of theory and practicals and with total respect towards our dogs based on solely positive methodologies. Amongst other things I am constantly being trained in order to assist and train dogs that are designated to guide the blind during their first year of training.
