Project “New Haven”
Our first project is called “New Haven”. The word Haven means a place of shelter or a place of safety, and that’s what we are planning to built for the 70 cats that live within the 4 walls of animal sanctuaries.
Under the hat of “Abandoned Voices”, it will entail rebuilding a cattery from scratch for the sheltered cats.
Some catteries are found in deplorable situations. Normally a perimeter of soil has been encircled by chicken wire and some old rugs used as flooring. Only partial roofing is provided for the shelter of the cats and bedding is very basic, as one can see from the photos hereunder.
It is now time to give a helping hand to these people, who gets zero help from governmental departments and bodies related to the animal welfare.
Hereunder one will see photos of the actual situation of local animal sanctuaries.
Very soon we will be posting plans of how we intend to transform it.
Needless to say that we need everyone’s help to be able to make this dream come true. If you have any building material ranging from unused bricks, wood, drainage pipes, cement etc, we would really appreciate if you can contact us. Even if you have no material but you’ve got skills, we would still need your help during the actual building of the cattery.
